Most people with jobs get two weeks of vacation. Since I have what I call a “pseudo-job,” I’m taking two days of vacation with my boyfriend.

I planned to split my weekend between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, but I can’t seem to leave the latter. I fell in love when I came to St. Augustine with my family when I was little and even wanted to go to Flagler College – that is until I found out they didn’t have a football team.

My family and I hit all the hot spots: a bed and breakfast, the fort, the Fountain of Youth, the ghost tour – you name it. However, I’ve never gone up inside the St. Augustine lighthouse, so that’s our goal for Sunday.

Also, there are two daily newspapers in this area, and I plan to buy this Sunday editions of The St. Augustine Record and The Florida Times-Union to check them out and compare.
