It was a sad day, full of rain and hail that pounded my windshield. Today a man often referred to as a legend passed away. Last week journalism lost Tim Russert from “Meet the Press,” and now the English language lost George Carlin.
I only came to appreciate his humor later in college due to the influence of several journalism professors. They taught me that George Carlin was a wordsmith by showing us his “I’m a modern man” bit from HBO. Warning: the following video may not be suitable for young ears:
