I’m not a big fan of shopping – it always wears people out and can make them feel bad about themselves. I dress simple and am not that fashionable.
But it was beyond time to get work clothes, which are tough to figure out for a reporting journalist. I bought dressier things for formal meetings and more casual things to wear in the field, like at a camp or skate park.
Getting some nice clothes today helped me feel better about problems with my article published in today’s local newspaper.
I laughed at a comment on TCPalm.com that read it was an interesting article from a new contributer. My smile faded when I scrolled up and realized my byline was given to Laura K. Blandford.
The article can be found in yesterday’s post, “First story from press conference published.”
She must be new – I’m not. I’ll be sending an e-mail to the Web master to let him know, as well as requesting my name finally being added to the list of correspondents.
